I just want to order a game from you, why you ask for so much of personal information. I don't like to disclose my birth day and IC information.
We ask for all above information because we wish to set up a customer account for you. With a customer account, we can properly record your contact information and buying history.
The customer account helps to calculate sell back values automatically. It also helps to print mailing address automatically. This will reduce the chance of human error in copying address manually.
The customer account let us to encode your personal information in a bar code. This bar code is printed on the back of sell back envelope. With this bar code, we can avoid printing customers name and address directly on the back of envelope.
You should set up customer record without asking for IC number.
We have maintain a customer record database for 4 years. In the early stage, the customer record was kept on paper file. These are collected from walk in customers, when we run a shop at Bukit Batok. We indexed these records with customer's IC number. Many of the early records do not have valid email or contact number.
We later computerized the system, and changed to use customer's mobile number as reference. In this stage, customer's mobile number are all verified, but many records does not have valid email address.
Now we move online. Most of the new customers contact us first with email.
To maintain the records from these different sources, we now required new records to have email, mobile and IC number. So that all records can be treated uniformly.
I still have concerns of disclosing personal information. I don't know much of your company.
You can simply give us name, address and mobile number. We will treat the transaction as for non members. We will not send you sell back envelope in this case. As we can't point this transaction to a valid customer record. We wish you continue to use our service. We will gain your trust through efficient service in long term. \
Sell Back or Trade In To Silverynote:
If you have the self address envelope, with your transaction ID printed on the back of it, you can simply use it to post games back to us. This package takes 2 days to reach us (one day longer than normal local post.) We will contact your when game received. If you wish to have cash back, drop us an email with your posb/dbs account number. Fund will be transfered back on the same day when package is received.
